In diffuse large B NHL, the BCL6 gene can undergo reciprocal translocations with a variety of genes at an incidence of 20-40%; in follicular lymphoma the incidence is 5-15%.
This probe is used to detect whether breaks and translocations occur in the BCL6 gene, which is an independent test for evaluating survival and recovery rates.
BCL6 gene breaks can be used in conjunction with MYC gene breaks and BCL2 gene breaks for the diagnosis of double/triple hit lymphoma.
