Multiple Myeloma MM
The presence of del(13q) or monosomy 13 is present in about 50% of MM patients and chromosome 13 monosomy is associated with shorter OS and PFS, so FISH testing and karyotyping are equally important for the detection of chromosome 13 abnormalities.
Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia CLL
Patients with CLL with del(13q) alone have a better prognosis.
